This is a broad based management training course which is designed for all levels of employers and employees.  It is structured to concentrate on the management of occupational safety and health and is seen as a suitable qualification for the safety advisor or manager.  There are no pre-entry qualifications, but the student must be prepared to assimilate a large amount of information with regard to safety in the workplace.

 

Who is the course for

This online course is designed to meet the needs of our clients and will always be specially tailored to your needs. The course is intended for supervisors and managers and can be a pre-cursor for anyone intending to undertake the NEBOSH Certificate.

The course syllabus

The course covers V3 of the IOSH managing safely syllabus and covers the following areas: Risk Assessment, Management regulations, Display Screen Regulations, Protective equipment, Workplace regulations, Hand arm vibration, Noise,
Environmental, Accident investigation, COSHH, Fire, Electricity, Transport, Signs, First Aid, Signs, H&S Policy and Environmental Protection.

Assessment

There is an assessment by theory paper and a course project which leads to the IOSH Managing Safety qualification, which will last you for three years.

The examination will be run at our centres which are in the North, the Midlands and in the south.  There are separate instructions for these and you will be given the information once you have completed the final module.

The practical assignment is workplace based and you will be sent the information on how you must approach this when you register for the course.

Online courses

This course is run online, you can start when you want and finish in your timescales.  The course has a recommended 56 hours of study and includes a study text which is closely linked to the work materials online.

Each of the 8 modules has a self assessment area which must be completed before attempting the final assignment.  Each final assignment is sent to your tutor and he/she will provide feedback, help and advice as required.

Your Diploma
The NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety provides the core health and safety knowledge (transferable across industry, commerce and the public sector) which, combined with understanding and appropriate application, underpins the competent performance of an Occupational Health and Safety Practitioner.
